'Ultramarathon man' Dean Karnazes talking about James' Heart Children Endurance
challenge:
"That is friggin' unbelievable! Right on!! Please James, never
stop. You inspire to no end. Best always, Dean."
I'd like to personally welcome you to my website. My aim is to inspire, motivate and provide you with
a base so that you can live a healthier
and happy life.
Styler health & performance started out with a handful of clients and quickly grew to close to one
hundred in the first year. Highlights to date
have been coaching athletes for both Coast To Coast and the
New Zealand Ironman, helping a young man to lose 50kg and helping coach
British powerlifter Tony Clark to
become the WDFPF 125kg class unequipped World Powerlifting Champion.
I have been involved in training and racing for over ten years, with running being my initial passion.
My first half marathon was in Great
Britain and it took me 2hrs10; since then I have ran more than thirty
half marathons with a PB of 1hr25. I am also a three-time marathoner
and ultramarathoner, running the
St James 69km trail run in early 2009. This particular ultramarathon is regarded as one of New Zealand's
toughest one day running races. I loved every painful, solitary eleven hours of it!
So whatever stage of fitness you are at, whether your goals are modest or crazy, I really hope you enjoy browsing
round the site. I believe
nobody is too unfit to make changes in their lifestyle, and age is definitely not a
barrier!
I"m always keen to hear from people so don"t be afraid to drop me a line. And if you have a question
you need answering just put "Ask The Trainer" in the subject line and I'll do my best to
answer it in one of the upcoming VO2max magazines.
