From Sunday 5th July - also the opening day of the 2009 Tour De France, I'd like to personally welcome you to my website. I have been involved in training and racing for over ten years, with running being my initial passion.
My first half marathon was in Great
Britain and it took me 2hrs10; since then I have ran more than thirty
half marathons with a personal best of 1hr25. I am also a three-time marathoner
and ultramarathoner, running the
St James 69km trail run in early 2009. This particular ultramarathon is regarded as one of New Zealand's
toughest one day running races. I loved every painful, solitary eleven hours of it!
Whatever stage of fitness you are at, whether your goals are modest or crazy, I believe
nobody is too unfit or too old to make changes in their lifestyle. My aim is to inspire, motivate and provide you with
a base so that you can live a healthier
and happier life.
I believe through exercise, good nutrition and a balanced lifestyle that is lived in the NOW rather than the past or future you can achieve a higher state of happiness and content.
I'm always keen to hear from people so don"t be afraid to drop me a line. And if you have a question
you need answering just put "Ask The Trainer" in the subject line and I'll do my best to
answer it in one of the upcoming VO2max magazines.
